Ambedkar Centre for justice and Peace is a global Human Rights organization which was established in 1991 by Mr. Yogesh Varhade an Engineer by profession and who was bless by Babasaheb Ambedkar in a childhood, now running this global organization from North America with supporters all over the world.

 

Aims & Objects

 

  1. To bring awareness among  the masses about Human Rights Violence’s
  2. To bring to the notice of civil society about the adverse effect of caste system, untouchability, Devdasi, Child labor, bonded labor, and other inequalities in Indian society.
  3. To educate the India society on the constitutional Rights, universal declaration Human Rights, various articles of Indian constitution for promotion & protection of Human Rights.
  4. To help indigence under privilege communities in order to fight against their fundamental Human Rights violence by activating various National Agencies like National Human Right Commission  (NHRC), National Commission for Schedule caste & Schedule Tribes Parliamentary committee on welfare of SC/ST, National Commission for minorities, State commission for minorities, various state Human Right commission, Central ministry for social justice and empowerment, Tribal welfare ministry, State welfare ministry, State Atrocity prevention shell (ECR dept)
  5. To bring the awareness about the role of various National & International Human Rights Agencies for promotion & protection of Human Rights Violence.
  6. To achieve international co-operation for the efforts for establishment of society best on liberty, equality, fetornity & Justice and encouraging respect for Human Rights & for the fundamental freedom for all without distinction of caste creed, race, sex, language & religion.

 

 

Achievements of ACJP

         

  1. ACJP is the first Ambedkar Right organization participated in UN conference on working group for indigenous population Geneva (Switzerland) in 1991 and presented the case on the behalf of 200 million Dalits & Tribals who are persecuted due to caste system in Indian society
  2. ACJP organize a memorable conference on Human Rights on the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar birth century celebration at Columbia University in 1991.
  3. Participated in Asia pacific conference of NGO held at Bangkok in 1993 and ACJP successfully got following resolution got approved by the conference “Caste system is the crime against the Humanity and countries having caste system foul to irradiate.
  4. Participated and raise the caste issue in the UNSECO sponsored world conference on Human Rights in 1993.
  5. Participated in world summit for social development at Copenhagen, Denmark and brought to the attention to the world about the adverse effect of caste system on the progress & development of Dalits & Tribals communities.
  6. ACJP in the year 1996 participated in the conference of Committee on the Elimination Racial Discrimination (CERD) Geneva, Switzerland and for the first time this United Nation Committee recognize the existence of Human Right Violence of India’s Dalits & Tribals base on caste system & Indian Govt. was directed to take measure for irradiation annihilation for caste system. Thus a caste is a base of human discrimination for established & creed committee accepted all recommendation of ACJP.
  7. Due to ACJP’s continuous efforts United Nation open a new chapter critical study of caste system & it will effects on Indian society.
  8. ACJP raised wavelength & strongly the most heinous and condemnable Child Prostitution system which is also known as Devdasi system on the name of religion.
  9. ACJP with Global delegation participated in the world conference against racism, recial discrimination & Xenophobia organize by United Nation Human Right Commission held at Durban, South Africa & with day & night lobbing with various countries & by way of participating in different Seminar and countries alighted the flight of Quarter Billion population Dalits& Tribals in India & held meeting with made MARRY ROBISON UN High Commission on Human Right & submitted memorandum for consideration of United Nation .
  10. ACJP participated in the Sub commission of Human Rights in Geneva in the year of 2002 and for the first time the issue of liberation of  the scared at holiest of the holly place Maha Bodhi Mahavihar at Boudh Gaya before UNESCO, United Nation.
  11. ACJP participated in Asian civil society forum organized by CONGO (Conference of non Govt. Organization) with consulted status with United Nation in December 2002 in Bangkok, Thailand and brought a plight & suffering of Dalits & Tribal before this world body.
  12. ACJP organise first world conference on Human Rights Education in June 2004 at Mumbai for 4 days, Conference was inaugurated by Former Justice of Supreme Court Dr. K. Ramaswami and Dr. Bhalchandra  Mungekar bless the conference as chief Guest, legal experts Judges administrator & experts on Human Rights Education and activist delivered their speeches on various facts of Human Rights education and delegates representing NGO’s, from through out the country participated in the four day conference, the conference was conducted by Global president Mr. Yogesh Varhade, Chairman of the Governing Council Mr. U.N. Biswas, & National President Mr. N. K. Sonare.

 

 

Activities Conducted by ACJP

         

  1. ACJP India held training to the trainers Seminar in the month of July 2004    at Nagpur & Grass roots activist were framed in Human Rights Education with emphasis of women & girls, Children.
  2. ACJP raised several issues of importance to SC/ST Communities with several states & National Agencies.
  3. The issue of revision of postmatric Scholarship was raised with the planning Commission of India, Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment & the office of the Prime Minister due to subtends efforts of ACJP the postmatric Scholarship are doubled with effect from 1/4/2003.
  4. Income selling of parents has been raised to Rs. 1 lack per annum.
  5. ACJP successfully rose followed up the issue of raising recruitment & promotion percentage in public sector corporation, public sector banks central Govt. dept, educational institution in the state of Maharashtra. Now the ministry of social justice has approved the proposal for raising the percentage of reservation for schedule caste in the state of Maharashtra from 7% to 17% in recruitment & promotion with effect from 1991, i.e. the year when Janta Dal Govt. extended the reservations facilities to SC converts to Buddhism. It is expected that the orders will be issued by dept of personal in a tow days stand & more the 5000 vacancies will be created on account of raising the percentage of reservation of 7% to 17%.
  6. Similar demand is also make the Govt. of M.S. when SC &ST converts to Buddhism are given 13% reservation which should be 17% best on 2002 census.
  7. ACJP has raised the issue of Non publication of the report of National
  8. Commission of SC/ST after 98-99 due to callous attached of certain officials of the Govt. of India.
  9. National Commission of SC/ST has submitted at last 5 reports since 98-99 to his Excellency the president of India and his Excellency has sent these reports to the parliament to the discussion but till date non of the 5 reports has been discuss in parliament because in which what happened to be progress & development of SC/ST since 98-99 is not known to the Indian population.
  10. ACJP has demanded CBI enquiry and the intervention of the Govt. of India in non prosecution of criminals & culprits in most of the cases which are filed with various police station in the country under prevention of Atrocity act & prevention of civil rights act. On an average 25000 case of Atrocities are registered every year in different Police station all over the country but a 8% case the culprits are set free.
  11. ACJP has taken up an issue of discrimination on SC/ST students in various National Education Institution like IIT, NITE demanded that sets reserved for SC/ST should be filled up from the SC/ST candidates only & SC/ST/OBC & minorities are representation should also be included in the board at Governors of these institutions.
  12. ACJP has raised the issue of Malneutrahen deceits in Ashram school in the State of Maharastra.
  13. ACJP visited village Bhimtola in Dist. Seone M.P. in the month of July 2004 where 3 schedule caste women were ganged raped & Petrified Naked by upper caste villages the matter has been percued for action against criminal & relief to the victims.
  14. ACJP has open a central office in Mumbai for collecting the information &  Documentation of Human Rights violence’s & providing relief  & justice to the victims of Human Rights violence are pursued with NHRC, State Human Rights Commission, Nation Human Rights Commission, National Commission of SC/ST, parliamentary Committee & various UN agencies.

          We here by appeal to all the members of under privilege indigenous Communities to be away above their constitutional & fundamental Rights, Rights as enshrine in the United Nation charter on universal declaration of Human Rights, Nation international Convinces, treat and Resolutions and do not submit to any kind of injustice and discrimination any where weather in the office in the school, in the collages, in the factories, on the constriction sides, in the field or any other place. If they are suffering due to any kind of injustice or their Human Rights are violated, they should be immediately write to our association for taking suitable action on the Grievances and providing relief and help to them.           All efforts would be made to provide Justice to such people. They are also requested to communicate above any likely event which were take place with them, in their village, in their near by village, in their locality, in their town & city, so that preventive action would be taken.
