 ACJP Mission

Ambedkar Center for Justice and Peace is a global volunteer charity organization with its Global Headquarters at Tunkhannock, PA, USA. Our aim is to follow the path shown by our savior, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. According to Government of India’s statistics 2002 (annual report of Commission for Scheduled Caste and Tribes (Untouchables and Tribals)), caste prejudice is responsible for at least 60,000 plus crimes against Dalits each year. Every two hours, a Dalit woman is raped, Dalits are beaten, murdered and their homes are burnt.
We are working to liberate our Dalit brothers through social work and human rights education so that they can lead their lives with dignity and develop into citizens who can make major contributions to the development of India. This means, we will deal with all the challenges that we face including education, economic development, eradication of child labor, bonded labor and child prostitution (Devadasi). more ...

While advts ST posts, VJTI reduced numbers of ST Professors Post from 5 to 3 and Asst. Professor from 8 to 6. As the post were carry forward backlog posts, the management was supposed to advt. the post separately as special recruitment drive and publish in all National News papers and Employment News. But due to caste prejudice, they kept the advt on their website so that no SC/ST eligible candidates could apply for the posts. They did one more trick to prevent SC/ST candidates from applying. They asked Masters Degree for Lecturer’s post, doctoral degree for Asst. Professor Post and post doctoral degree for professor’s Post, which is a clear-cut violation of Government directives on Minimum qualification for recruitment of teaching posts as per UGC criteria.
The matter was taken up very strongly with Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University and Governor & Chancellor of Maharashtra state. H.E. the Governor issued notice to VJTI and we are likely to submit rejoinder in the matter.
